This past weekend saw Hampshire take on West Midlands in a tightly fought county clash. Despite some excellent performances across both days, Hampshire narrowly lost out 16–20 in what proved to be a competitive and entertaining fixture.
It was also a memorable weekend for several players who reached impressive milestones in their county careers. Kev Woodward and Justin Bradshaw both made their 50th appearances for Hampshire, while Chas Barstow, Mike Symes, and Laura Turner all reached the 75-game mark. Meanwhile, Mike Gillet and Graham Chalk both celebrated incredible achievements by making their 100th appearances in Hampshire colours.
