Hampshire Narrowly Defeated by Middlesex in County Clash
This past weekend Hampshire travelled to face Middlesex in a tightly contested county darts fixture. After two days of competitive action, Middlesex edged the overall result by just two points, taking a 19–17 victory.
There was cause for celebration within the Hampshire camp as Mike Gillet marked his 100th Hampshire cap in style, producing a fine 4–2 win to cap off his milestone appearance.
Across the board the matches were evenly fought, with the honours shared in both the Men’s and Women’s A and B sides:
- Men’s A: Middlesex 6–6 Hampshire
- Women’s A: Middlesex 3–3 Hampshire
- Men’s B: Middlesex 7–5 Hampshire
- Women’s B: Middlesex 3–3 Hampshire
While Hampshire came up just short on the overall scoreline, the weekend showed plenty of grit and quality from the squad, with positives to build on for the rest of the season.
