Hampshire Youth Take on Berkshire in Their First Match
This past weekend saw Hampshire County Darts Youth play their very first fixture, taking on a strong Berkshire side. Despite a determined effort across all teams, Hampshire were narrowly defeated 10–7 overall.
The Under 18s impressed in a closely fought contest, edging out Berkshire 5–4. Standout performer and U18s Man of the Match, Lucas Sherren, produced an excellent display, winning 3–0 with a solid 19.27 average.
The Ladies side battled hard but fell short, going down 3–0 against their Berkshire counterparts.
In the Under 21s, Hampshire pushed Berkshire all the way but were edged out 3–2. However, there were excellent performances from Bobby Shearman, who won his game 3–1 with a strong 21.58 average, and Charlie Wynder, who despite losing a nail-biting 3–2 match, produced Hampshire’s highest average of the day with a superb 22.34.

Overall, while Berkshire claimed the victory, there were plenty of positives for Hampshire to take forward. With promising young talent already making their mark, the future looks bright for Hampshire Youth Darts.
