Hampshire Edged Out by Humberside in Close Away Contest
This past weekend saw Hampshire travel to face Humberside in a highly competitive county clash, with the match narrowly going against them 19–17.
There were strong performances across the teams, with the Men’s A side securing a solid 7–5 victory, while the Women’s A team delivered an outstanding performance to win 6–0. However, the Men’s B side faced a tough contest, going down 9–3, and the Women’s B team were defeated 5–1.
Despite the narrow overall loss, several players produced standout individual performances. For the Women’s A side, Jo Rolls was in excellent form, claiming a 3–0 win with a superb 22.43 average. In the Men’s B, Andy Jurd impressed with a strong 4–1 victory, averaging 26.17.
For the Women’s B team, Katrina Butler delivered a solid performance, winning 3–1 with a 12.67 average, while Scott Walters produced one of the performances of the weekend, recording a brilliant 4–0 win with a superb 30.36 average.
Although the result didn’t go Hampshire’s way, the match was closely fought throughout, with plenty of positives to take from a strong and competitive team display.
