Hampshire Claim Home Victory Over Kent
This weekend saw Hampshire record an excellent 23–13 home victory over Kent in their latest County Championship fixture, capping off a strong all-round performance across all four teams.
The Men’s A side set the tone with a solid 8–4 win, while the Men’s B team followed up with an equally impressive 8–6 victory. In the women’s matches, the Women’s A teams battled to a 3–3 draw, and the Women’s B side secured a strong 4–2 win, completing a successful weekend for Hampshire.
There were several standout individual performances across the teams. Kev Woodward was named Man of the Match after an excellent 4–2 victory, producing a superb 28.98 average. In the women’s matches, Pennie Lewis impressed with a 3–1 win and a 20.48 average, while Jane Monaghan delivered a top-class performance, winning 3–0 with a brilliant 22.77 average.
The men’s teams also saw another strong display from Chas Barstow, who claimed a confident 4–1 victory with a 28.51 average, continuing his excellent form in Hampshire colours.
This result lifts Hampshire to the top of the league, a testament to the consistency, depth, and commitment shown across the squad throughout the season.
