Hampshire Secure Impressive Away Win Against Cheshire
Hampshire produced a strong all-round performance this weekend, claiming a convincing 24–12 away victory against Cheshire in their latest county darts fixture.
The Men’s A side edged a competitive contest with a 7–5 win, while the Women’s A team was in excellent form, recording a dominant 5–1 victory. The Men’s B side continued Hampshire’s momentum with an impressive 9–3 win, and the Women’s B teams rounded off the weekend with a hard-fought 3–3 draw.
There were several standout individual performances across the teams. In the Men’s A, both Sam Rooney and Mike West delivered high-quality displays, each recording superb 28.23 averages. Rooney claimed a commanding 4–0 victory, while West battled through to secure a 4–3 win.
The Men’s B side also saw an excellent performance from Aaron Turner, who won his match 4–2 with a strong 27.83 average.
In the Women’s A team, Tracy North impressed with a 3–2 victory, posting an excellent 21.97 average, while Dawn Simmons produced a composed display to win 3–0, averaging 20.88.
Overall, it was a fantastic weekend for Hampshire, with strong team results and high-quality individual performances contributing to a deserved away win.
Next up, Hampshire are at home to Kent on January 30th / February 1st, where they will be looking to continue their strong run of form in front of home support.
