MATCH REPORT – HAMPSHIRE YOUTH COUNTY DARTS vs OXFORDSHIRE
What a weekend of darts it was for Hampshire Youth County Darts, as our talented players across all age groups delivered passion, skill, and determination in an exciting set of matches at our first home fixture of the season.
U21s – Hampshire 5–0 Oxfordshire
The U21s were simply unstoppable, completing a clean sweep to secure maximum points.
- Bobby Shearman (19.11) battled hard in a thrilling 3–2 victory over Matthew Aust (20.66) to set the tone.
- Charlie Wynder (22.24) impressed once again with a strong 3–1 win over Liam Steele, showing real composure and class.
- Brandon Harper (16.16) made light work of his match, cruising to a 3–0 win against Jayden Symons.
- Logan Stockton (12.92) showed great fight in a 3–1 victory over Connor Room, grinding out key legs when it mattered.
- Lennon McCarthy (18.56) rounded things off in style with a commanding 3–0 win over Zack Moran.
A flawless performance from the U21s – dominant, disciplined, and deadly on the doubles!
Ladies – Hampshire 1–2 Oxfordshire
Our Hampshire Ladies fought bravely but narrowly missed out in a tight contest.
- Natalie Baxter (14.92) lost 1–3 to Evie North (15.22) in a close encounter where the finishing made the difference.
- Neve Turner (12.50) was superb, taking a confident 3–1 win over Lexa Room to level the tie and earn Player of the Match honours.
- Kirsten Wright (10.27) gave her all but was edged 1–3 by Chloe Judd (11.84), as Oxfordshire just snuck ahead overall.
A spirited showing from our ladies, who will no doubt bounce back stronger next time.
U18s – Hampshire 5–4 Oxfordshire
The U18s clash was a real nail-biter, with Hampshire edging a thrilling 5–4 victory thanks to a complete team effort.
- Jamie Goodman (18.67) opened with a tight 3–2 win against Harry Rawlings.
- Charlie Blake (19.46) fell 0–3 to an in-form Ellis Smith (21.47).
- Oscar Kreft (19.52) and Mason Smith (15.10) hit back with solid wins to restore Hampshire’s momentum.
- Lucas Sherren (15.94) and Jaxon Sharp (15.76) were both unlucky in close losses, keeping things finely poised.
- Lucas Banks (14.72) and Oliver Matson (20.07) delivered clutch wins under pressure – Matson’s deciding-leg victory sealing the match in dramatic fashion!
- Tommy Farmer (14.36) fought hard but couldn’t find the final touch against Kaden Kerry (16.16).
An incredible team effort from the U18s – full of passion, grit, and belief right to the last dart!
Final Result: Hampshire 11–6 Oxfordshire
