Hampshire Youth Narrowly Beaten by Berkshire
This weekend saw Hampshire Youth involved in a very closely contested fixture against Berkshire, with the final result finishing 9–8 in Berkshire’s favour.
The Under 18s pushed their opponents all the way in a tight encounter, eventually losing out 5–4 in a match that could have gone either way. The Ladies side battled hard throughout but were narrowly defeated 2–1, while the Under 21s produced a strong performance to claim a well-earned 3–2 victory.
Despite the narrow overall defeat, there were plenty of positives to take from the match, with strong performances and great team spirit shown across all sections. Well done to everyone who represented Hampshire.
Players of the Match
There were some outstanding individual displays on the day:
- Reggie Woodmore – Superb 3–0 victory with an excellent 25.05 average
- Kirsten Wright – Strong 3–1 win, averaging 13.75
- Charlie Wynder – Outstanding 3–0 performance with a brilliant 27.33 average
Fantastic darts from all three players — fully deserved recognition for their efforts.
Hampshire will take plenty of encouragement from this performance as they look ahead to their next Youth fixture.
